## Description

The Henry Lester Trust, established in honor of its namesake who lived in Shanghai, offers financial assistance to citizens of the People's Republic of China pursuing postgraduate studies in the UK. The Trust primarily supports students in fields such as architecture, construction management, civic planning, medicine, and computer development. Grants can cover living expenses and, in exceptional circumstances, tuition fees, focusing on those in their final year whose educational progress is hindered by unexpected financial challenges.

To apply for a grant—up to £3,500—candidates must provide a detailed application including a CV, a course outline, and a letter of support from their academic supervisor, all submitted via email. Priority is given to students who demonstrate a commitment to returning to China after their studies, ensuring that their acquired knowledge benefits their home country. The Trust processes applications typically within five weeks, emphasizing its dedication to fostering educational opportunities for Chinese citizens in the UK.
