## Description

Heritage Seekers is a genealogy club serving Central Arkansas, organized in 1976 after a beginner genealogy class taught by Gloria Counts of Hot Springs. The club’s purpose is to promote genealogical education and foster friendship among people interested in family history. Its website describes the organization as established in 1977.

Heritage Seekers welcomes anyone who supports its aims. Annual membership costs $15 for an individual or $20 for a couple, with renewals due in September. Members and other interested participants can attend virtual meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Meeting invitations are distributed by email, and links are also shared on the club’s Facebook page.

The club’s calendar features talks and learning opportunities led by guest speakers, covering topics such as migration research, archival collections, genealogy methods, and preserving family stories. The website also provides links to Arkansas historical sites, genealogy learning organizations, records and repositories, and other research resources.
