## Description

Herkästi Oy provides compassionate, practical support to people dealing with a loved one’s death and to those who wish to prepare arrangements in advance. Founded by Sari Vehkaoja, the Tampere-based business helps clients manage administrative and funeral-related tasks during a difficult time, allowing them to focus on grief and supporting one another. Services can be arranged as a ready-made package or tailored to individual needs, with a personal visit to discuss wishes and priorities. Herkästi can assist with funeral arrangements, contact with the parish office and other organisations, and planning a memorial gathering. The service also helps clients identify the practical steps required after a death, including obtaining family and official records and gathering information about the deceased’s assets and debts for estate inventory. For matters concerning the estate inventory, Herkästi directs clients to a lawyer. The company primarily serves members of the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Tampere and people who do not belong to the church.
