## Description

Heroines of Health is a public health education initiative focused on highlighting Black women working in the field and emphasizing the importance of public health. Through stories, educational content, and community-focused resources, the organization introduces audiences to women whose experiences reflect a commitment to health and service. Featured heroines include Kalifa Alexander, MPH, raised in Atlanta, who developed an early interest in helping others and educating people about health risks, and Shaunda Reed, MPH, whose community upbringing shaped her interest in serving people, including underserved populations. The website shares their public health journeys alongside articles and commentary, including content about the impact of COVID-19. It also provides public health resources and links to COVID-19 case data, and invites visitors to watch related videos on YouTube. Readers can explore the blog, archives, and resource pages, learn more about featured professionals, and subscribe by email for updates. Heroines of Health presents public health through personal stories and accessible education, with a clear focus on recognizing Black women’s contributions and encouraging greater awareness of health issues.
