## Description

HERO Theatre is a Los Angeles-based theatre organization dedicated to making live performance more equitable and inclusive. It provides space and artistic voice for actors across races, genders, sexualities, religions, beliefs, and backgrounds. Through its productions and programs, HERO Theatre supports diverse artists and brings stories from a range of communities to the stage.

The company’s work includes Nuestro Planeta, an environmental new-works commissioning initiative featuring projects connected with Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Haiti. Its onstage offerings have included works such as Luzmi by Diana Burbano and RISE: An Immersive Exploration of Gun Violence in Schools. HERO also offers programs for young people, participates in TeenTix LA, and supports emerging artists through the Olympia Dukakis Mentorship Program. TeenTix gives Los Angeles teens access to HERO and other arts events for $5, with free sign-up.

HERO Theatre invites audiences to attend performances, explore its youth and artist programs, and support its work through donations.
