## Description

RAUK, the Reptile and Amphibian UK, is a dedicated online community that focuses on the conservation and promotion of the country's diverse herpetofauna. This platform features a wealth of resources, including forums for sharing experiences and knowledge, a comprehensive identification section, and links to additional herpetology groups and databases. The organization has been recognized for its valuable contributions, winning the Pets at Home Pawfection Award in 2012 for its outstanding pet advice resources, particularly in reptile identification. RAUK thrives on community engagement, inviting users to participate in important conservation initiatives like surveys of newts and other local species. The site is supported by key organizations such as Amphibian and Reptile Conservation and the Amphibian and Reptile Groups of the UK, ensuring its sustainability as an independent forum. RAUK also encourages submissions of wildlife observations, helping to document and protect the UK's reptile and amphibian populations for future generations.
