## Description

The Hessle Waits is a community choir dedicated to bringing traditional Christmas carols to Hessle and the wider local area. Its carolling tradition dates back to 1916, making the group a longstanding part of the community’s festive celebrations. The choir performs a range of traditional carols in four-part harmony at local events and other community gatherings. It welcomes strong singers who can read music and are interested in joining its seasonal performances.

Alongside its musical activities, The Hessle Waits raises funds for Dove House Hospice, a local charity supporting adults with life-limiting illnesses. The hospice aims to help people enjoy the best possible quality of life and access high-quality palliative care in the setting they choose. The choir has raised substantial funds for the hospice through its campaigns and performances, and invites individuals and businesses to support its work through donations and corporate sponsorship.

The Hessle Waits shares news, event information, and updates about its history and activities.
