## Description

Hexer is a browser-based hex map maker for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and other tabletop role-playing games. Designed for game masters, it supports both quick wilderness maps and detailed campaign worlds, with no download or signup required to get started. Users can paint with 35 free terrain types, add settlements, dungeons, and other map features, or generate worlds procedurally using biome rules. Mapping tools include paths, regions, travel routes, scale levels, and notes, including private DM notes. Game masters can share maps live with players, reveal terrain through fog of war, display party markers, and see updates appear in real time. Maps can be exported as PNG, SVG, JSON, Universal VTT files for platforms such as Foundry and Roll20, or printable hex keys. Hexer also supports sci-fi star maps and, with Pro, features such as Underdark layers, cave generation, expanded terrain and map limits, and advanced fog of war. The free plan includes core tools and one saved map; a paid subscription adds expanded capabilities.
