- **Primary alias:** `hf-gen.de`

## Description

It supports beginners and experienced researchers through regular monthly meetings, talks, and informal opportunities to share knowledge. Guests are welcome, and introductory guidance, a genealogy leaflet, and a printable family tree are available to help newcomers get started.

The group’s online resources include transcribed church records for towns and villages such as Hüllhorst, Lübbecke, Schnathorst, and Hiddenhausen, alongside civil registration indexes, personal and emigrant lists, and local family-history collections. Visitors can also explore information on regional farms, historical maps, gravestones, Jewish history, photography studios, war memorials, and local history projects. The site provides links to genealogy resources and reports on the group’s activities, as well as details of collaborations with museums and other historical organizations. Its materials are especially focused on the Herford area and neighboring communities, helping researchers investigate ancestors, places, and records within the region.
