## Description

HFI Pyrotechnics Inc. is a Canadian defence manufacturer based in Prescott, Ontario, with a history dating to 1873. It operates a purpose-built, licensed site spanning more than 3,000 acres, supporting the manufacture, storage, research, and development of defence pyrotechnics. Its products include marine location markers, smoke signals, flares, and training and simulation effects used for signalling, screening, and field exercises. These capabilities serve the Canadian Department of National Defence, the United States Navy, and allied militaries across NATO and partner nations.

HFI also works with customers, defence primes, and allied forces to develop pyrotechnic components and subsystems for larger systems. Its services include co-development, applied research, and new product development, from concept through prototyping and launch, within controlled and compliant conditions. The company presents its long-standing manufacturing experience and regulated chemistry expertise as a foundation for building capabilities that meet evolving defence requirements. HFI’s work supports soldiers, sailors, aircrew, and search-and-rescue teams, as well as government and allied procurement authorities seeking sovereign Canadian manufacturing capability.
