## Description

Hampshire Genealogical Society (HGS) is dedicated to helping individuals explore their family history, especially those with roots in Hampshire. With a global membership, HGS serves as a hub for genealogists seeking knowledge, resources, and community support through various initiatives. Their Research Centre in Winchester offers in-person assistance, alongside a wealth of publications—including data CDs, village booklets, and monumental inscriptions—available in their online shop.

Members can engage in monthly meetings through nine area groups that promote discussions, lectures, and local history visits. The society also caters to international members via bi-monthly Zoom meetings, fostering connections across the globe. HGS prides itself on creating an inclusive environment for both novice and experienced researchers, providing invaluable support in uncovering family ties. By joining HGS, members access not only extensive resources but also become part of an inviting community of family historians eager to share their passion for genealogy.
