## Description

Hickory Charm is a vibrant handmade workshop nestled in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, aiming to foster a community that celebrates the art of crafting. Established in May 2010, the studio showcases the works of over 40 talented local artists, specializing in a diverse range of crafting classes that include silver jewelry making, wool felting, and various artistic workshops.

With more than 30 different one-day courses offered monthly, participants can engage in activities such as resin art for smartphone cases, terrarium building, and traditional Japanese flower arranging. The workshop also provides crafting supplies and kits, enabling enthusiasts to continue their creative journey at home.

In addition to local classes, Hickory Charm hosts events and offers mobile workshops for schools, corporate groups, and community gatherings, making it a cornerstone of Shiga’s crafting scene. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere invites crafters of all ages, ensuring everyone finds their perfect creative outlet, whether for personal enjoyment or building skills for home-based businesses.
