## Description

Hicksmade, created by potter Leigh Hicks, is a charming ceramics brand based in Oxfordshire, with roots in Scotland. Specializing in handmade pottery, Leigh primarily employs traditional hand-throwing techniques on the potter's wheel, alongside occasional handbuilt pieces. The ceramics are crafted using high-quality white stoneware and toasted stoneware clay, fired at an impressive 1260ºC, and are finished with food-safe glazes.

Hicksmade is dedicated to creating not only aesthetically pleasing items but also functional pieces designed for everyday use. Leigh’s artistic journey began in childhood and has evolved through various art forms, culminating in a strong focus on ceramics since 2017. After establishing a home studio and now operating from Kingfisher Studios, Leigh’s mission is to offer beautiful, practical ceramics that enhance daily life and inspire joy. Customers can expect unique, quality items that reflect Leigh's passion for craftsmanship and design, with opportunities for custom creations available upon inquiry.
