Hicksville Public Schools

Hicksville Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Tangney as the new middle school principal. With a strong background in education, Mr. Tangney has been serving as the assistant principal at Hicksville Middle School since 2018.

He brings a passion for fostering positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. In his new role, Mr. Tangney will oversee a range of middle school programs aimed at supporting the academic, personal, and interpersonal growth of students.

With a student-centered approach, he is dedicated to providing every Hicksville Middle School student with the necessary support, resources, and experiences for their success. Prior to joining Hicksville, Mr. Tangney served as an assistant principal at Newfield High School and a science teacher at Memorial Junior High School.

He holds a bachelor's degree in earth science and adolescent education, a master's degree in educational technology and leadership, and has completed an Educational Leadership and Administration Program. As the new middle school principal, Mr. Tangney's leadership skills and dedication to student and staff excellence will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the Hicksville learning community
