## Description

Higher Purpose Literature is the publishing and author brand of Daija Rivers, a two-time award-winning self-publishing author who creates faith-centered books for children. Her stories aim to nurture young readers’ confidence, character, and understanding of their identity in God, while offering relatable characters who can help children feel seen and supported. Rivers describes her writing as ministry through literature and shares her work at vendor events, speaking engagements, churches, and book signings.

The catalog includes Invisible Fruits, which introduces the nine fruits of the Spirit through a school-day adventure; Mia’s Seed of Faith, a story about faith, gardening, and growing confidence; and Shhh...Mommy is Praying!, about a young girl inspired by her mother’s prayer practice. God Is My Friend is offered in versions for boys and girls, using biblical affirmations and emotional expression to encourage self-confidence and positive Christian responses to feelings. Mia’s Seed of Faith won the 2025 International Impact Book Award in Children’s Religion, while Shhh...Mommy is Praying! was a Los Angeles International Book Awards finalist in the same category. The books are available through Amazon.
