## Description

High River Christmas is a community-led celebration of the holiday season in High River, Alberta, bringing residents, businesses, visitors, and volunteers together through festive traditions and local events. Its signature event is the annual Santa Claus Parade, featuring lights, music, entertainment, and activities in downtown High River. The program also includes Light Up George Lane Park, where visitors can enjoy seasonal displays and, when weather permits, an outdoor pop-up skating rink. The organization invites community members to help prepare the park, volunteer on parade night, sponsor displays, and share decorated homes or businesses on its online Light Up map.

High River Christmas also highlights opportunities to visit Santa at the Museum of the Highwood, explore seasonal markets, and see a community nativity display. Markets showcase gifts and goods from local crafters, makers, vendors, and artisans. Through its events and volunteer initiatives, High River Christmas celebrates local creativity, generosity, and togetherness, while helping families and visitors enjoy the traditions and welcoming spirit of Christmas in High River.
