## Description

The Student Angler Federation (SAF) is dedicated to promoting education through fishing for high school students across the United States and Canada. Founded in 2007, SAF serves as a pioneering organization in the high school fishing movement, encouraging youth participation in outdoor activities and providing valuable educational experiences.

SAF organizes a wide range of fishing events, including state championships, national tournaments, and the prestigious High School Fishing World Finals and National Championship, which offers significant scholarship opportunities for students. In 2025, the federation expects to host over 44 high school fishing state championships and multiple open challenge events, anticipating participation from more than 35,000 students.

SAF emphasizes the importance of learning rather than financial gain, as they do not charge entry fees or pay cash prizes to student anglers. Instead, they focus on education, awarding scholarships and prizes to help young anglers pursue college and vocational education. Join SAF to foster a love for fishing and the great outdoors while creating lifelong memories and opportunities for learning.
