## Description

Hampshire International Jamboree (HIJ) is a volunteer-delivered international camping event for Scouts and Guides aged 10–17. Taking place from 22 to 29 July 2028 in Overton, Hampshire, the jamboree will bring together thousands of young people and volunteers from across the UK and around the world for a week of adventure, challenges and friendship. Camping is included, with activities planned throughout the event to encourage shared experiences and lasting connections.

HIJ provides information and registration options for groups, individual participants and international visitors. Its website covers pricing, the programme, camping, travel and accommodation arrangements, and offers a launch price of £300 per participant with a 10% deposit. The HIJ Flex Guarantee allows payments to be spread over up to five instalments. For those interested in supporting the event, opportunities include event and planning roles, as well as International Service Team positions and a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award residential option. HIJ is also preparing an online shop featuring planned event merchandise, including T-shirts, badges and hoodies.
