## Description

HillCity Foundation is a nongovernmental organisation founded in Nigeria on March 13, 2004, to support underprivileged university students and help young people across Africa discover, develop and deploy their potential. The organisation expanded to Uganda in 2019 and describes its work as adding value to lives through education, empowerment, personal development and mentorship.

Its four main programmes address different stages of young people’s growth. The Educational Support Programme helps reduce financial barriers to tertiary education through scholarships and other assistance. The Economic Empowerment Programme, including the HillCity Youths Accelerator Programme, supports young innovators with grants, business clinics and mentoring. Self-Discovery and Personal Development activities help participants build clarity, confidence and purpose, while the Mentorship Programme connects young people with committed guides.

HillCity Foundation also hosts the annual Discovering Greatness Conference, bringing its community together for speakers, panels and guided mentorship. Across its programmes and events, the foundation aims to equip young people to pursue their aspirations, build self-reliance and contribute positively to their communities.
