The facility aims to produce around 9,000 tonnes of premium Hima® Trout annually, equivalent to a staggering 22,000,000 dinners. This trout variety, originating from the Osland trout strain in the Sognefjord, is highly nutritious and robust, thriving in fresh water. With an estimated production time of 17 months, the fish reach their ideal average weight of about 4 kg. Hima Seafood has partnered with Osland Havbruk AS for roe deliveries and Villa Seafood for sales, distribution, and processing of the Hima brand. With a dedicated fish farm manager boasting 40 years of experience in salmon and trout farming, Hima Seafood remains committed to providing a premium and sustainable product to seafood enthusiasts worldwide.
