Based in Chhattisgarh, the company produces high-carbon ferro manganese in grades of 70–75% and 65–70%, as well as high-carbon silico manganese in 65% and 60% grades. These alloys are used to enhance steel strength, toughness and wear resistance. HFAL reports installed production capacity of more than 60,500 tonnes per year and supplies customers in India and more than 20 countries. Its services include product customization, quality checks and international supply. The company states that it holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, alongside OHSAS 18001:2007 certification. Sustainability is central to its operations: its energy portfolio includes a 55 MW captive solar plant, an 8.5 MW biomass project and 1.5 MW of wind power.
