## Description

HiSea is an EU-funded project focused on improving the operation, planning, and management of marine activities, particularly in the port and aquaculture sectors. The project aims to develop, test, and demonstrate information services that provide high-resolution data on water quality at sea. By incorporating data from various sources such as marine, land, and climate services, HiSea offers services that enhance decision-making processes. These services include an early warning system for potential risk factors like storms and harmful algal blooms, real-time crisis management for pollution accidents, and key performance indicators for fish growing rates and environmental conditions. HiSea also provides accurate meteorological, hydrodynamic, and water quality forecasts for planning operations. With the goal of delivering accurate and reliable information, HiSea aims to add value to users' operations and provide them with a competitive advantage. The project, funded with €1.94 million through the EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, involves seven partners from multiple countries.
