## Description

Histoire Engagée is a history-focused website that connects the past with present-day issues. It comments on current affairs through a rigorous historical perspective, presenting accessible content on topics concerning Canada, Quebec and the international community. Its offerings include in-depth articles, shorter pieces, blogs, reviews, interviews, conference content and multimedia, alongside themed dossiers and archival chronicles. The site also features debates on current events, biographical writing, educational resources and coverage of history in areas such as Indigenous histories, culture, politics, gender, migration and the environment. Some long-form articles undergo external double-blind peer review, while other sections are assessed internally.
