## Description

The Historial de la Vendée is a museum established by the Vendée Department, dedicated to exploring the history and heritage of the region. Located in Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne, it presents its collections through an ambitious architectural setting and interactive displays, offering visitors a journey from prehistory to the present day. Its activities include permanent collections, archaeology and documentation, alongside temporary exhibitions, guided visits, family trails, events and educational services for schools, groups and young people. The museum also features a dedicated Children’s Museum, with activities designed to make discovery accessible to younger visitors. Families can use age-specific tablet trails and take part in the “Mission Historial” experience. Visitors can plan their trip through online ticket booking and practical information on opening hours, admission, access and accessibility. On-site services include a café, a museum shop and exhibition catalogues, and the venue can be hired for private events. The Historial is part of a wider network of Vendée cultural and heritage sites, with the Pass Vendée offering access to nine destinations for one year.
