## Description

HistoricalMX is an educational initiative designed by the Honors College and History Department at Sam Houston State University. Launched in 2016 by Dr. Jeffrey L. Littlejohn and Dr. Charles V. Heath, the project aims to showcase the diverse history of modern Mexico through an interactive, map-based platform. This unique resource allows users to explore a wealth of historical narratives, photographs, and oral interviews, all contributed by dedicated undergraduate and graduate students from the University.

At HistoricalMX, visitors can delve into various stories that collectively illustrate the people, places, and events that have shaped Mexican history. The platform is accessible to scholars, educators, and the general public, reflecting a commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of Mexico's rich historical tapestry. By encouraging students to conduct research and publish their findings, HistoricalMX not only highlights their academic work but also promotes an ongoing dialogue on the relevance of history in shaping contemporary values and decisions. Experience the history of Mexico like never before at historicalmx.org.
