# Historical Society of Tacony - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `historicalsocietyoftacony.org` ## Description The Historical Society of Tacony is a community organization established in 1990 to preserve the traditions and history of Tacony, a section of Philadelphia. Through its website, archives, and community activities, the Society helps residents and visitors explore the people, places, industries, and events that have shaped the neighborhood. Its historical resources include image and document archives, articles, a history blog, an interactive map, and features such as “Tacony Then and Now.” Topics range from the area’s early Lenape and European history to local figures, businesses, and Tacony’s role during World War II. The Society also invites the public to ask questions, submit articles, participate, and learn more about local history. Individuals can support its preservation work by joining for $10 per year, making one-time or recurring donations, or purchasing merchandise. Members can access exclusive content, and the organization offers a historic house plaque program. Based in Philadelphia, the Society welcomes community involvement and works to keep Tacony’s history accessible for future generations. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/HistoricTacony) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/HistoricTacony) - [youtube](https://youtube.com/channel/UCyfWK2YW_q6QCRuKRNJukJg) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNIffqGy7/w/200/h/200/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793619199114) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNIffqGy7/w/1536/h/1536/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793619199556) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Buddha Gold | #c39302 | accent | | Spicy Mustard | #7a5e10 | dark | | Raffia | #e8d3b1 | light | ## Fonts - Lato — asset _(google)_ - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
