# Historic Stonington - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `historicstonington.org` ## Description Historic Stonington is a dedicated organization focused on preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of Stonington, Connecticut. It manages several significant historical properties, including the Arcade and the Ocean Bank, which reflect the architectural and commercial evolution of the area since the 19th century. The Arcade, a Greek Revival building established after a devastating fire in 1837, has housed various retail outlets throughout its history and once appeared in the film "Mystic Pizza." Meanwhile, the Ocean Bank, founded in 1851, has served as a financial institution for over a century. After a brief period as a museum and headquarters for Historic Stonington, it now operates as Dime Bank. In addition to managing these historic sites, Historic Stonington offers engaging programs such as guided walking tours, group visits, and educational resources. Visitors can also explore the Lighthouse Museum and the Palmer House Museum or shop for memorabilia in their gift shop while supporting efforts to protect and interpret Stonington’s vibrant history. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - ✈️ Travel and Tourism - ✈️ Tourist Attractions _(under Travel and Tourism)_ - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/The-Stonington-Historical-Society-275577294561) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/historicstonington) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idu9d_bNcY/w/820/h/217/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1731361091351) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idu9d_bNcY/w/1200/h/1200/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1731361091736) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Tall Poppy | #b8292f | accent | | Tory Blue | #0d5494 | dark | | Clam Shell | #cfadb3 | light | ## Fonts - var(--tec-font-family-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - Sphere Sans — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
