## Description

Historische Stadskaarten Full Colour creates digitally hand-coloured reproductions of historic city maps, bringing archival images to life with vivid, carefully chosen colours. The project is led by Marcus Laman, identified on the site as an “afsetter”—the traditional craftsperson who coloured printed maps by hand. Using digital brushes, paintbrushes and pencils, Laman applies colour with precision to enhance each map’s legibility and visual appeal while offering a fresh perspective on its historical cityscape.

The collection features maps of cities and towns across the Netherlands and nearby parts of Europe, including Amsterdam, Leiden, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Bruges, Brussels and Ghent. Maps are produced on demand as posters in two formats: approximately 35 by 50 cm or 50 by 70 cm, printed on 150-gram poster paper and shipped in a sturdy tube. Prices include postage within the European Union; customers are invited to enquire about delivery elsewhere. Orders can be paid for using options including iDEAL/Wero, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and Bancontact.
