## Description

The History Museum of Mobile is where Mobile’s story begins! This renowned museum offers visitors a captivating exploration of Mobile’s rich history through its four fascinating sites: the History Museum of Mobile, Clotilda: The Exhibition at the Africatown Heritage House, Colonial Fort Condé, and the Phoenix Fire Museum. At the History Museum of Mobile, you can delve into over 20,000 square feet of exhibit space that interprets Mobile’s history from pre-Colonial contact to the modern Port City. Don't miss the new children’s discovery room, where families can engage in interactive activities such as exploring a French ship and playing real African drums. Your admission also grants access to Colonial Fort Condé, a partial reconstruction of the 1723 fort, and the Phoenix Fire Museum, where Mobile's firefighting history comes alive. One exciting upcoming exhibition is the highly anticipated Hubble Space Telescope: New Views From the Universe. With special exhibitions always changing, there's something new to discover on each visit. As a six-time recipient of the “Best Museum” Nappie award, the History Museum of Mobile is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts of all ages.
