## Description

The History Watch Project is an educational initiative focused on exploring how history shapes contemporary societies and public life. Through its History Watch Podcast Series, the project presents conversations, interviews, and lectures with historians, academics, writers, and other experts. Episodes examine subjects including racism and anti-Black violence in Brazil, Caribbean and African histories, colonial legacies, migration and indentured labour, water insecurity, public policy, and the politics of memory. The series also considers historical fiction, the representation of atrocities, Indigenous peoples, and the experiences of diasporic communities. Contributors include scholars and cultural figures from universities and institutions across the Caribbean and beyond. By connecting historical research with present-day issues, the History Watch Project offers listeners accessible perspectives on the lasting effects of colonialism, inequality, and political change. Its website provides podcast episodes and related articles, alongside information about the project and its work. The project’s content encourages audiences to engage critically with the past and its influence on current debates, serving as a resource for people interested in history, culture, and social justice.
