## Description

HISTREE is a Saudi company founded and led by Houria Akram, creating a platform for exploring Islamic history, Saudi and Arab Gulf heritage, and the wider story of the world. Its interactive timeline connects these histories in a walk through time, from the earliest eras to the modern age. Users can explore on a phone, tablet, computer or exhibition screen, or enter the experience in virtual reality using compatible headsets.

The platform combines 360-degree historical worlds with cinematic, scene-by-scene stories and written articles. Entries include the sources and work used to check them. Featured stories range from the prophets and the crossing of the Red Sea to the First Saudi State and the building of the Great Pyramid.

HISTREE is designed for families and learners, as well as schools, universities, ministries, museums, embassies and cultural centres. Through its Legacy Lines service, organisations can commission a timeline presenting the history of a nation, city, collection, heritage site, organisation or major event, placing that story within the broader historical timeline.
