Hitchcock Independent School District has a rich history that dates back to the mid-1800s when the town was settled. Comprised of four campuses along with Kids First Head Start, Hitchcock ISD serves approximately 1800 students from Pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. The district's student population reflects a diverse community, with 44% African American, 31% Hispanic, and 22% White students. With an 80% Economically Disadvantaged rate, the district focuses on meeting the needs of all students.
