## Description

Hitel is a Hungarian literary, social and arts journal presenting writing, cultural commentary and creative work by established and emerging contributors. Its online magazine features poetry, prose and essays, with topics ranging from personal memory and Hungarian history to contemporary social issues. The journal also offers a print edition and an online archive, giving readers access to current and past content, as well as information about subscriptions and support.

Beyond publishing the magazine, Hitel connects readers with literature through public events, including literary evenings, book presentations and commemorative programs. Its Book Workshop highlights volumes such as poetry collections, drama and other literary works, while its film section features interviews and discussions about writers and books. The site also introduces the journal’s contributors and editorial activity.

Hitel is published by the National Foundation for Culture and Literature, with Papp Endre identified as the person responsible for editing. Through its print and digital publications, events and related cultural features, the brand supports engagement with Hungarian literature and the arts.
