Our vision is to provide relevant tools for safe internet surfing, while our mission is to be the go-to resource for guidance, support, and safety tips in cyberspace-related issues in Sri Lanka. With state-of-the-art features and facilities, Hithawathi is continuously evolving and empowering its users. Our website offers up-to-date content, guidelines, and an online chat feature. We have also established a permanent hotline contact number and email address for immediate assistance and a complaint management system. Our commitment to raising awareness extends to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. To cater to the specific needs of female victims, our hotline is managed exclusively by female officers, ensuring a comfortable and open environment for communication. We are privileged to have the support and collaboration of national-level organizations, including the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (SLCERT), TechCERT, Sri Lanka Police, and various individuals, such as counselors, legal advisors, and members of ISOC-LK and LKDR. Since its inception in January 2014, Hithawathi has helped over 5,100 victims and welcomed over 5,800 website visitors. With 7 partners and a Facebook following of 91,763, we are committed to making cyberspace safer for all.
