## Description

AIDS文化フォーラム in 京都 is a vital initiative aimed at raising awareness and understanding of HIV/AIDS, rooted in the successful tradition established in Yokohama since 1994. Held annually in August, this forum serves as a platform for public engagement, fostering dialogue among individuals, organizations, and community members focused on HIV/AIDS issues. With a particular emphasis on reaching younger audiences, the forum offers workshops, presentations, and exhibitions that address critical topics such as sexual education, cultural diversity, and human rights.

Recognizing the increasing incidence of HIV in the Kansai region, particularly among students and international visitors in Kyoto, the forum aims to create an inclusive space where diverse perspectives are valued. Participants are encouraged to become involved, whether as support staff or by contributing their own knowledge through presentations and workshops. This collaborative effort seeks not only to educate but also to promote solidarity and support for those living with HIV, striving for a more empathetic and informed society. Join us in the pursuit of understanding and empowerment.
