Riksförbundet HjärtLung, also known as the Swedish Heart and Lung Association, is a Non-Governmental Organization that brings together individuals with heart and lung diseases. Founded in 1939, our association is politically and religiously independent and has been governed by its members ever since. Our primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for people affected by heart and lung diseases. With over 35,000 members nationwide, we work tirelessly to improve the living conditions and well-being of individuals dealing with cardiovascular and lung issues. To facilitate communication, we distribute a periodical publication called Status throughout the country. Led by President Mr. Anders Åkesson, we offer a range of services and resources to support our members, including information on diagnoses, healthcare, and finding local associations.
