## Description

The Hong Kong Association of Gerontology (HKAG) is a pioneering organization established in 1986 by a group of dedicated professionals focused on elder care services. Its primary objective is to connect institutions, organizations, and individuals involved in gerontological services worldwide, fostering the exchange of experiences and scholarly work to advance elder care in Hong Kong.

In response to the growing demand for elder care knowledge due to an aging population, HKAG founded the Hong Kong College of Gerontology in 2000. Additionally, the association runs the Hong Kong Residential Care Home Review Program, which evaluates over 700 residential facilities to ensure consistent service quality.
