## Description

HK Bio-Med Innotech Association is a Hong Kong-based organization working to develop the city into an innovative, internationally connected biomedical technology hub. It supports promising biomedical innovation projects and established biomedical industries from overseas, helping them pursue industrialization and commercial development, fundraising and listing, corporate governance, auditing, research and development, intellectual property protection, and compliance with policies and regulations. The association also assists with clinical trial design and planning, and supports companies seeking to enter Mainland China and wider Asian markets.

Beyond business support, HKBMIA contributes to discussion of the life sciences sector through policy proposals and industry reports examining challenges and opportunities for biotechnology in Hong Kong. Its activities include events and services, member events, and bio-talent training. The association also co-founded the Cross-Strait Bio-Med Innotech Alliance with partner organizations from Mainland China, Taiwan, and Macau. The alliance provides a platform for collaboration, talent exchange, regulatory convergence, and stronger biomedical market and capital-market connections across the four regions.
