## Description

Heiligenseer Kanu-Club e.V. (HKC Berlin) is a community-focused water sports club based in Heiligensee, in northern Berlin. Founded in 1930, the club is located on Lake Niederneuendorfer and has around 230 members across different age groups. Its year-round program combines competitive and recreational sport with activities that bring members together on and off the water.

HKC offers canoe racing, ocean sport, stand-up paddleboarding, children’s and youth programs, health sport, and general recreational activities. Its youth department is among the largest at Berlin canoe clubs, and the club introduces more than 250 children and young people to canoeing each year through taster courses and holiday camps. Athletes also compete in regional, national, and international events.

Beyond regular training, HKC provides school projects in dragon boats and kayaks, from short activity days to class trips, as well as team-building events for companies, families, and groups using dragon boats and canoes. The club also welcomes membership and sponsorship support to help fund equipment and youth programs.
