## Description

Hong Kong Lung Foundation Limited (HKLF) is a Hong Kong-based organisation dedicated to improving respiratory health and supporting the local lung health community. Working alongside the Hong Kong Thoracic Society and CHEST Delegation Hong Kong and Macau, it promotes academic collaboration, public education, research advancement, local talent development, and exchanges with colleagues in the Mainland and overseas.

HKLF responds to gaps in public awareness of lung conditions, including pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary fibrosis. Its activities include health education campaigns, community events, public seminars, conferences, press briefings, and educational information and publications. The Foundation also supports respiratory research and professional development through research grants, fellowships, scholarships, honorary awards, and young investigator recognition. Its programmes include opportunities for overseas conference education and initiatives established in memory of Dr Tse Yuen Man.

Through its events and partnerships, HKLF shares knowledge, encourages research, and helps build understanding of respiratory disease among the public and health professionals. The organisation’s work reflects a continuing commitment to strengthening respiratory health in Hong Kong.
