Founded in 1982, the HKVA is run by a dedicated group of veterinary surgeons who make up the executive committee. With over 250 active memberships and 554 listed memberships, including veterinary specialists, the association brings together veterinary surgeons from various fields, including small animal and equine practice, industry, and government positions. Membership of the HKVA is open to veterinary surgeons registered to practice in Hong Kong, and associate membership is available to veterinary assistants, nurses, and veterinary surgeons not yet registered in Hong Kong. The association also provides student memberships. The HKVA is committed to promoting Continuing Education (CE) for its members to ensure they stay updated with the latest global veterinary knowledge. It organizes regular seminars, workshops, and CE events, and disseminates information through its website and email updates. One of the association's major initiatives is the development of a Clinic Accreditation Scheme for veterinary practices, aiming to maintain a high standard of service to the public. The HKVA also engages with government committees and working groups on issues of public Veterinary Public Health and represents the views of the association. While not a statutory body, the HKVA welcomes public inquiries on veterinary matters and strives to provide advice when appropriate. With its focus on CE, ethical standards, and public engagement, the HKVA is instrumental in upholding the veterinary profession's standards in Hong Kong. ## Industries - 🐶 Pets _(under Pets and Animals)_ - 🐶 Pets and Animals ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/HKVA_tweet) - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/hong-kong-veterinary-association) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id8RxHsOsR/w/820/h/166/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1784628777475) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id8RxHsOsR/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1784628777563) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Woodsmoke | #040505 | dark | | Cream Brulee | #ffdb99 | light | | Indigo | #3b6bba | accent | ## Fonts - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id8RxHsOsR/w/1500/h/500/idsEnFcYKH.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1784628777725) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
