## Description

Hlaup.is is an Icelandic information and community platform for people who run and those who organize running events. Its aim is to support Iceland’s running community with practical information, news, results, and educational content. The site covers road and trail running, with information on races across distances ranging from short events to 5 km and 10 km races, half marathons, and marathons.

Runners can browse a race calendar, find upcoming event registrations, review race results and annual best performances, and explore ratings and running groups. The platform also features news, articles, interviews, opinion pieces, race stories, photo galleries, and video coverage from events. Its learning resources and courses serve both runners and race organizers, while separate sections cover races and results abroad.

Hlaup.is highlights events throughout Iceland, including road races, trail races, and other running competitions. It also invites people to support the platform through voluntary monthly contributions, helping it develop and maintain resources for the wider running community.
