The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber (HMC) is dedicated to creating opportunities and cultivating the wealth and assets of the Latino community in Portland, Oregon. Our mission is to advance Latino economic and community vitality through business development, leadership, education, and advocacy. At HMC, we actively work towards four main goals.

Firstly, we assist Latino businesses in starting, growing, adapting, and succeeding. We also focus on cultivating career and leadership advancement for Latinos to shape inclusive and sustainable community and economic development. Additionally, we advocate for policies and programs that contribute to Latino economic advancement and operate as an effective and resilient organization.

Since 1994, we have provided a wide range of services and activities for our members and clients, including one-on-one business technical assistance, networking sessions, workshops for small businesses, leadership development education for Latino professionals, and an educational and scholarship program for Latino students. We collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit organizations, as well as other culturally-specific Latino and economic development organizations, to maximize our impact.
