## Description

**HobNob Festival**

HobNob Festival was a beloved annual pop/rock event held in Almelo's Schelfhorstpark, known for showcasing a vibrant mix of live music and community spirit. Since its inception, the festival successfully ran for 16 editions, drawing thousands of attendees each July. It relied heavily on the support of local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers, creating a unique atmosphere that celebrated music and togetherness. Unfortunately, due to rising costs associated with materials and artist bookings, along with increasing financial challenges exacerbated by recent economic changes, the festival's organizers announced its discontinuation after the 2024 event. Despite exploring potential partnerships and sponsorships with local organizations, the growing financial strain made it unsustainable. The festival's closure marks a significant loss for the Almelo community, as it served as a vital platform for local artists and an annual highlight for music enthusiasts. The commitment of its founders and supporters to foster a lively cultural scene will be remembered, even as the HobNob Festival takes its final bow.
