Since 2019, it has welcomed visitors to enjoy a festive day among the Christmas trees, with a warm, community-focused atmosphere for all ages. Guests can choose a Nordmann fir grown on the market’s 10-hectare plantation, either by cutting their own or selecting a pre-cut tree. The trees are carefully tended for eight to ten years before sale. The market offers more than Christmas trees: visitors can take a free ride through the plantation in a veteran tractor, follow a children’s elf hunt, enjoy a nature playground, make twist bread over a fire, and watch or try traditional blacksmithing. Santa also visits on Sundays. More than 30 local stalls sell decorations, crafts, seasonal treats and other goods. Café Træladen serves refreshments including mulled wine, hot chocolate, coffee, tea and æbleskiver.
