## Description

Hollenmarsch is a walking and running event organized by Verkehrsverein Bödefeld e.V. in Bödefeld, Germany. Inspired by local folklore about friendly forest spirits known as the Hollen, the event brings participants onto scenic but challenging routes through the surrounding countryside. Distances range from 7.5 to 101 kilometers, with options for different levels of experience and endurance. The organizers provide event services that include refreshment points, a supporting program, registration information, route guidance, and details about local accommodation. Participants can also explore event galleries and results, share feedback, and order a Hollenmarsch T-shirt. The event is supported by sponsors and a community of volunteers from Bödefeld and nearby villages. The 2026 edition was canceled because African swine fever restrictions and missing permits made it impossible to use the planned routes. The organizers have announced the 20th Hollenmarsch for May 21–22, 2027, inviting participants to walk, run, and celebrate together.
