## Description

The Holtenser Karnevalsverein e.V. is a community carnival club in Holtensen, celebrating local carnival traditions since 1981. What began as a small gathering in the community center has grown into an association with 241 members and a lively program for residents of all ages. Its activities include carnival sessions, a children’s carnival, and a village parade that brings the community together.

Dance is central to the club, which presents twelve groups for children, young people, adults, and men, alongside solo and paired performers and competitive dance teams. Groups include the Minigarde, DanceKids, Funkengarde, DayDreamer, Damengarde, and Funkenmariechen. New participants are welcome.

Each carnival season features a newly appointed prince and princess, with information about their appearances and events. The club also shares news, upcoming dates, photos, and its history, and provides details about the board, rehearsals, venues, and frequently asked questions. People can join as dancers or help with technical work, costumes, float construction, and events. Membership forms, parade registration documents, and the club constitution are available to download.
