## Description

Homemade Circus is an activity toolkit created by Upswing to help care home staff and activity coordinators bring circus-inspired movement, creativity and connection to residents. Drawing on more than a decade of experience testing circus activities in care homes, the programme offers practical, step-by-step support for people of all experience levels, including complete beginners.

The digital toolkit includes instructional videos, activity worksheets, expert guidance and practical insights. Circus artists explain how to use different equipment and shape sessions to suit the people taking part, from gentle introductions to more challenging activities. Simple props such as balls, hats and scarves can become starting points for movement, music, group play and shared expression.

Homemade Circus aims to help caregivers lead enjoyable sessions that encourage participation and support social connection and wellbeing. The brand offers three flexible membership options on a sliding scale, with the same content available through each option. Resources are also free to use and adapt for non-commercial purposes when credited to Upswing Aerial Limited – Homemade Circus.
