Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center is a leading animal welfare organization in Camden County, New Jersey. Our mission is to end companion animal homelessness through community awareness and responsible ownership. As a non-profit organization, we have been dedicated to this cause since our founding in 1997.

We offer a wide range of services to support our mission. Our adoption center has hundreds of dogs and cats available for adoption, providing them with a second chance at finding loving homes. Additionally, we provide low-cost veterinary services at our clinic, ensuring that all pets have access to quality medical care.

At Homeward Bound, we care for any animal in need, regardless of the reason. Whether it's a pet surrendered by their owners, a stray animal, or one that has suffered neglect, we provide them with the necessary medical care and housing. Our goal is to find them new loving homes or reunite lost pets with their owners.

As the exclusive animal shelter for the City of Camden, we take in approximately 5,000 animals per year from 18 municipalities in Camden County. We also offer community programs such as pet food pantry and animal alliance to support pet owners in need. We are proud to have achieved a 96% save rate in 2021, making a significant impact in reducing companion animal homelessness in our region.
