## Description

Honest Chocolate is a small artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate company based in Cape Town, South Africa. The brand makes handcrafted chocolate using traditional methods and quality, organically produced ingredients, with a focus on ethically sourced cacao and responsible production. Its “Chain of Positivity” approach considers people and the environment throughout the supply chain, including local and fair sourcing. Honest Chocolate aims to preserve the distinctive character and origin of each cacao batch, avoiding excessive flavouring or sugar.

The company sources organically produced Tanzanian cacao beans from Kokoa Kamili and roasts, grinds and tempers them at its Woodstock production kitchen. Its offerings include chocolate bars and slabs, cakes and desserts, gifts, vouchers and chocolate experiences. Customers can also take part in workshops, factory visits and onsite tastings, while businesses can explore corporate experiences and gifting. Honest Chocolate operates a café on Wale Street in Cape Town, alongside its online store. Its story began with experiments in raw cacao, which grew into a collaborative chocolate-making venture rooted in craft, creativity and carefully considered ingredients.
